Past NYR Projects
Below please find a
sampling of some of the work completed by Tim Lackey and Northern
Yacht Restoration over the past several years.

The Daysailor
Project
A signature
conversion project! Beginning with a derelict sailboat,
I removed her deck and interior and rebuilt her from scratch,
including a new wood-framed deck, Herreshoff-style interior,
and all-new systems, rigging, and canvas. She was
launched for sea trials on August 26, 2005.
Please visit our detailed construction
website for this boat at
this link. She was sold in October, 2005 and
will be sailing the Maine coast with her new owner.

Over the winter of 2005-2006, this
venerable classic received a significant cosmetic upgrade, including
new hull and deck paint, re-waterproofing the cabin trunk with Dynel
set in epoxy, and replacement and refinishing of her existing
mahogany trim.
In addition,
we removed the original Gray Marine V-8 engine and installed a new
Volve Penta 4.3l fuel-injected V-6 in its stead. In
conjunction with the repower, we replaced the engine controls and
overhauled the electrical system.

From December, 2006 to April,
