This 1964 Allied Seabreeze yawl
represents a long-term project for Northern Yacht. Slated to
be Tim & Heidi's personal boat, hull #16 (formerly Perelandra) was involved in a gasoline fire under her previous
ownership; the fire caused substantial damage to the interior,
cockpit, and stern quarters, but from a structural standpoint the
boat remained relatively sound, and repairable.
Now safely covered and
stored outdoors, #16 awaits demolition, structural work, a
new interior, and full cosmetic overhaul, all of which will take
place over the next few years as time allows. This project
represents an exciting opportunity. #16 will also act
as a test bed for a number of new products and techniques that
we hope to incorporate into our repertoire.
As a personal boat,
#16's rebuilding won't get underway until we can dedicate the
time and resources required to attend properly to the boat's needs.
However, we expect her to be sailing again within only a few years.
